Loving Souls and Sweethearts XIV - Educational Workshops and Luncheon 2010
Educational workshops, healthcare displays and a variety of health screenings are held for the purpose of increasing awareness in minority communities of cancer risk factors, the importance of prevention, early detection and available treatment options. As you may be aware, certain cancer rates are higher than average in the minority populations. Fear of cancer and lack of knowledge can result in delayed detection in the minority populations. CATALYST has been able to offer this valuable educational event free of charge to the public because of generous support from the community.
