Gilda’s Club New York City 3rd Annual Benefit Luncheon Celebrating Women Working & Living with Cancer
Gilda’s Club New York City will hold its 3rd Annual Benefit Luncheon Celebrating Women Working & Living with Cancer, on Wednesday, May 19, 2010. We invite you to join us for a very special afternoon honoring accomplished women in recognition of our members – over 77% of Gilda’s Club members are women. In New York City approximately 34,000 people are diagnosed with cancer each year. GCNYC has served over 5,800 members but there still remains a large group of individuals who would benefit from our services. Our mission is to create welcoming communities of free support for everyone living with cancer - men, women, teens and children – along with their families and friends. Our innovative program is an essential complement to medical care, providing networking and support groups, workshops, lectures and social activities, all free of charge. Throughout our fifteen years we have accomplished what few other non-profits have – we have created a family and a home for our members, one where they share their hopes and fears, their sadness and joy.

This year’s luncheon will be held at The Plaza Hotel in New York City.
