CarePagessm is an online community that helps members and their families stay in touch before, during and after treatment for a number of disease and health-related conditions. Through personalized websites, members can relate their stories, post photos and update friends and family on their progress instantly. In turn, CarePages visitors can post messages of support and encouragement. This is a free service, and members can set specific privacy settings to limit those who can view their CarePages website.
In addition, CarePages offers several resources (discussion forums, blogs, articles and more) to educate and guide members through their journey, as well as give loved ones the tools to offer hope and emotional support when they’re needed most.
How it works:
1. Go to carepages.com/ctca
2. Click “Create” on the top navigational bar
3. Sign up for a free CarePages membership. Just provide your name and email address. You can also include your disease type and the name and location of the facility where you are treating. You will also select the privacy setting for your CarePages website, in which you can choose to allow other CarePages members to connect with you, or you can set your CarePages website to be viewable only to those whom you invite.
4. Create your CarePages website. Once you are a member, you can easily post updates and photos, invite friends and family to view your CarePages website and send compliments to your doctor, nurse or other hospital staff member. In addition, you will have access to discussion forums, tips, articles and other resources.
