Celebrate Life 2020 Event Postponed

Considering the rapidly evolving situation of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and recommendations from local and national health authorities to limit public gatherings, Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) has made the difficult decision to postpone our 2020 Celebrate Life event.

We understand how disappointing this news is to you as well as your family members and friends who have looked forward to celebrating your incredible milestone with us. We too are disappointed, as this event is one of our Stakeholders and physicians most favorite days of the year. However, trust that during this time of crisis, all our energies and efforts are focused on delivering the care to those who rely on us in their greatest time of need and know that we look forward to celebrating you in the future when we can reschedule this event.

About Celebrate Life

Every year at each Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) hospital we commemorate a major milestone for many of our patients – their five-year anniversaries. We hold the Celebrate Life event to honor and congratulate these individuals.

The Celebrate Life event is a one-day celebration that includes a ceremonial tree planting followed by a luncheon celebration, as well as adding a leaf to the tree for each celebrant. Celebrants are also encouraged to participate in Hope RoundsSM, which allows them to visit with patients who are currently in treatment to provide hope and inspiration.

The Celebrate Life event is a tremendous source of pride for attendees and an inspirational goal for patients in treatment, as well as re-invigorating for the stakeholders who care for our patients.

About the Tree of Life

The Tree of Life is an important symbol representing strength, courage and hope. Its deep roots provide a strong foundation and represent the ability to deal with the changes and challenges that surround us.

We believe that if you plant a tree in solid ground; nourish it with sunlight and refresh it with a gentle rain, it will grow strong. When storms arise, the tree may bend but does not break. And as the seasons come and pass, new buds appear. This solid tree reminds us to hold on to hope and persevere when faced with any challenge.

Each leaf on our tree represents a celebrant and reminds survivors of the strength they have shown on their journey, provides hope for patients currently in treatment and offers inspiration to caregivers and stakeholders.
